A few months ago, I ordered the OOfos  oolala sandals and have been loving the support and cushion that I get from them.  When I got the opportunity to try the closed toe OOmg shoes, I jumped on it.

OOfos has it’s own “OOfoam technology”. It provides approximately 37% more cushion than traditional footwear.  The OOFos OOmg low shoe is designed to  enhance the recovery process., but to also be something you can wear all day, every day to take the stress off your tired soles, joints and give your feet the freedom of natural movement.

Since I have osteoarthritis in my knees, I look for the most cushiony shoes I can find. I wanted recovery shoes that provided the same type of support and also offers rejuvenation.  The OOmg shoes have about the same amount of cushion as my  running shoes,  which is pretty darn incredible!
I love that these are a slip on shoe, they are super convenient to grab and go, whether it is to walk the dog or get the mail.

I gave these a try after an 8 mile training run.  The cushion was incredible. I wore them running errands. I think they are casual and sporty at the same time.

My feet have plenty of room to move, and I wore them both barefoot and with socks. Comfy both ways.  I think that this will be very handy at my next Ragnar in Michigan. It’s maybe a little too chilly for flip flops in between running my legs, but these closed toed shoes are a perfect recovery tool!

The OOfos OOmg is currently only available in women’s sizes, and comes in 3 colors - black, gray and citron.The men’s version is coming out sometime in 2018.  The retail price is $120.00, which is about the same investment as a good pair of running shoes. The bottom of the shoes will wear out before the foam. Treat yourself to a pair for summer!

I admit it, I am a measuring freak when it comes to portioning out my food. I have so many measuring cups and spoons that get dirty in one day, it’s rather ridiculous.  My kitchen scale broke a few months back, so I haven’t been able to weigh any food.  Some of the harder things to measure without a scale are cheese and meat. As I mentioned in my last post, this is the 20th Anniversary of the Rock n Roll Marathon Series. Rock n Roll San Diego is sure to be an #EpicSummerRun.  We're down to the last 4 weeks! So what can you expect?

The race starts at Balboa Park, and winds through the iconic Hillcrest, North Park, and Normal Heights signs. Plus, a downhill finish to the all new finish line at the Waterfront Park! You had me at downhill!

Rock n Roll races are known for their live bands on course, and this will be no exception! Look for a variety of local bands, plus spirited cheer squads on course to help keep you motivated and energized.
