The Scale Doesn't Lie

I admit it, I am a measuring freak when it comes to portioning out my food. I have so many measuring cups and spoons that get dirty in one day, it’s rather ridiculous.  My kitchen scale broke a few months back, so I haven’t been able to weigh any food.  Some of the harder things to measure without a scale are cheese and meat. I was excited to try out the Eat Smart Precision Digital Scale to help me weigh these items.

When the scale arrived, I was surprised at just how light it is!  It only weighs 8 ounces!

It runs on a lithium battery, which came installed. It took a little doing to open the battery compartment and get things going, but once the battery was all set, we were good to go.

This scale measures in both grams as well as ounces/pounds, with just the touch of a button. It’s very easy to read.  The scale can also weigh food that is up to 11 pounds.

The COOLEST feature is the Tare/Zero feature. It allows you to weigh something that’s in a container and get the exact weight without the container weight. No math required! Just place the empty container on the scale, then hit ON/TARE, and put your contents in the container. Boom! You've got the exact weight of the contents without the bowl!

To test it’s accuracy, I placed an 8 oz block of cheese. The scale showed 8.3 oz, which included the plastic wrapper.  It passed the test : )
